Week in Review

It's not often that a 1 Draw, 1 point week feels successful. In this District, however, getting one point from two games versus Westwood and Round Rock seem like a really big deal. Your Lady Rangers competed well this week in some crazy weather conditions on Tuesday and Friday Night. Tuesday saw the Lady Rangers travel to Westwood where they were able to secure one point in the district standings with a 0-0 draw. It was a highly competitive match played at a very high level of soccer, even with the conditions. It was great to see the girls play with confidence and desire and it was truly a performance for us to build on.

On Friday night the Lady Rangers started the second round of District play by traveling to take on #5 State Ranked Round Rock. It was a great defensive effort by the Lady Rangers as the only goal conceded was off a free kick in the 2nd half. It wasn't the result we were hoping for, but it was another strong performance that the Lady Rangers can build upon.

(Not going to lie, Not hearing those Cow Bells was really nice. Come to find out we Actually DON'T Need more Cowbell).

And Finally

Please be checking the Weather Apps and keep checking your SportsYou notifications. There is a forecast for some really cold and crazy weather this week. If there are changes to any games or practices, we will communicate those changes as quickly as possible.

This is the time of year that games and practices start to overlap with Club season. Then we have Senior Nights, Middle School nights, and Teacher Appreciation nights. We have jobs and and track, and personal obligations too. I just want you to remain focused on the day at hand. Trying to focus on too many things at once becomes daunting and stressful. Take time to take care of yourselves. Rest, recuperate, and don't stretch yourselves too thin. The season and pursuit of the playoffs is on track. The games are coming fast. Make the most of the rest of the season by taking it all in but remain steadfast in your focus on our ultimate goal.

Proud of the performances. Excited about what's still to come.

Let's Go Lady Rangers!
