Lady Ranger Round Up Week of 10/16-20

The Week in Review

Last week the Lady Rangers continued preparations for the upcoming season while also supporting some fantastic causes and programs at Vista Ridge.

Congratulations to Amaris Gorlick, Samantha Atherton, Hannah Saidhi, and Ava Limon on your performances at the District Cross Country Championships. Y'all ran and competed with heart and dedication. It was amazing to watch and made me so proud to watch you push yourselves to do things you didn't know you were capable of. It was inspiring. I can not wait to see that sort toughness and determination with the soccer teams this season.

The Lady Rangers did a great job of creating some Social Media content that will be coming out soon. It's always fun to get to know this year's Lady Rangers.

And many of our Lady Rangers also participated in the Pink Out Breast Cancer Awareness Pep Rally and Football games on Friday. Such a great group young ladies and we love seeing them bonding and creating amazing memories at Vista Ridge.

And Finally-

We are 6 weeks away from the start of the season.

- That is six weeks from embarking on a journey that will go by so fast. Do not be unprepared.

- Meeting the Physical Standards will be tough

- Meeting the Technical Standards will be a challenge

- Having a Tactical Understanding of the roles and patterns of play are important.

Take some time to watch this video. This video and others we will post are to help you grow as player. Do not neglect the mental aspect of the game. Having an understanding of the Tactics of the game will improve your ability to succeed both on and off the field.

Part of making a team is being challenged, pushing your limits, defining your role, and making the most of your opportunities. It can be mentally challenging. And that mental struggle is a good thing as it is part of the process of helping you grow. But when the challenge starts to become debilitating then it's important to recognize those struggles and utilize resources to help you grow, cope, and succeed.

I found this resource on Mental Training by a former Division 1 and Professional soccer player who's goal is to help young soccer players navigate the mental grind and develop coping techniques to support their athletic growth.
