Lady Ranger Round Up Week of 1.6-10



The Week in Review

Well our Season is officially underway and both JV and Varsity had good showings at the San Marcos Tournament. JV went 1-2 and played some good soccer over the course of the 3 days.

Varsity ended the tournament going 3-0 with victories over Bastrop, Gregory Portland, and Midland Legacy. The Lady Rangers scored 10 goals in 3 games with goals from Lily Vandiver, Leah Drake, Bristol Holbrook, Isabel Presas, Arden Tutor, and Chloe McCann.

It was a good start to the season for the Lady Rangers. From this point moving forward we will only have Tuesday and Friday games for the remainder of the season and no Saturday games unless they are rescheduled due to inclement weather.





The Week Ahead

Two more Home Non District matchups this week versus two highly ranked teams. Great competition to get us ready for the gauntlet that is District 26-6A.

Monday- No School No Practice- Rest and Recover

Tuesday- A Day- Home Game versus Austin Westlake JV 5:30/ Varsity 7:00 (Black)

Wednesday- B Day Grey - Weight Room & Film- No After School Practice

Thursday- A Day Red- 2-4:30 pm Ranger (Watch SportsYou for changes due to potential weather)

Friday - Home Game versus JV Austin Anderson 5:30 and Varsity Lake Travis 7:00 (Red)

Tickets will need to be purchased for this weeks games online.

Tickets are $5 for Adults $3 for students

Tickets will go live for purchase at 8 am on Game Day.

A link will be sent out via SportsYou or can be purchased at the gate.

And Finally

Please, Lady Rangers and Parents, make sure you are checking SportsYou for any updates. There is a chance of some really cold temperatures this week and if any inclement weather develops then we will make announcements via the app. Generally any decisions regarding Games will be made by 2 pm on Game Day.

So get your cold weather gear out and ready. And with that if any of you need player gloves, tights, or warm long sleeve under shirts, Costco had them today. Player gloves with the rubber grips were $7 and the tights and LS tops were under $10.

So get those blankets and beanies ready as Texas High School Soccer is officially under way!
