Week in Review
Only one game last week for the Lady Rangers as we took on the topped ranked team in Central Texas, Austin Westlake. The games did not go as we had liked with both JV & Varsity falling to the Chapparals. Competitive matches with unenviable outcomes, but often more is learned in a loss than in victory. We will take the lessons learned and use them to get ready for the start of District play and start our road to the State playoffs this week.

And Finally
As we head into District play almost a full two weeks earlier than normal I would like to leave these few reminders:
Communication- All absences need to be communicated to the coaches. Please do this sooner rather than last minute.
Away Games- Lady Rangers ride to the games and back to Vista Together on the bus. Only exceptions are severe inclement weather or unplanned conflicts. The Google Release form must be signed before an athlete is released to a parent- RELEASE FORM
JV Ball shaggers- This is a District rule and not optional. There is a schedule for the games you will work. If you can not stay, you must inform the coaches, find a replacement, and then work another match. Missed games will be assessed points on our point system.
Please utilize the Game Day Meal Service- If we continue to have low participation we will have to discontinue the service.
Tickets- All tickets are $5 & $3 for Home Games- Tickets may be purchased beginning at 8am on game days. Tickets to Away games vary per District and site. If tickets are required for Away games, then a link will be sent out via SportsYou on the morning of the contest.
Cold Weather Policy and Game schedules- We will follow the LISD cold weather policy for all home games. Although Districts try to align as best they can, not all Districts have the same policies on playing in cold weather. What is for sure is if school is closed then there are no games. Last week was brutal and it looks like another round next week and then another round in February are possible.
If games are cancelled, then only the Varsity games will be rescheduled and made up per UIL. They will be played on the next available playing date. If a Friday night game is cancelled then it will be made up on Saturday. I know this is not ideal for everyone but then again, this is Texas HS Soccer.
LISD is a leading supporter of the Texas Way and promotes sportsmanship and character development of all athletes. We ask that as spectators you do your part in supporting The Texas Way Initiative and model these values at all of our athletic contests. If you see spectators (either Home or Visitor) exhibiting conduct that is contradictory to this initiative, please inform the Administrator on duty so that they are aware and can address in issues before they impact the environment of the contest being attended.
It Gets REAL starting Tuesday. We kick off District play with Round Rock followed by games every Tuesday and Friday for the next two and a half months in one of the toughest districts in the entire State of Texas. It's going to be an Amazing and Exciting year. Thank you for your support &
Let's Go Lady Rangers!
