Happy New Year and Woo Hoo our Season is finally here!
We have now finished the Pre-season phase of our season.
Phase 1 - Pre-season and Scrimmages
Phase 2- Tournaments and Non District Games
Phase 3- District Games
Phase 4 - Post Season and Off Season
Phase 1 is where we get ready for our season through Mental. Physical, Technical and Tactical preparations. In addition to physical fitness programs, we also watch film, work on foundational skills, and begin to implement those tactics which will be our strengths for the up coming season. Phase 1 concluded with our Scrimmages vs Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Lake Travis, East View, Liberty Hill and our Lady Ranger Alumni. It was so great to see them back on campus.
In Phase 2 we begin to play our scheduled Non District opponents and participate in showcase or knock out tournaments. These games are a lot of fun and provide so different teams and styles of play that we may not regularly see during District play.
This portion of the season comes fast and can be a blur. Beginning this week and through the third week of the season we will play 10-12 games and only have 4-5 practices before our first District match up with Cedar Ridge.
Athletes and Parents - This is by far the most hectic part of our season. After the first two weeks things slow down dramatically and we settle into our Tuesday - Friday games & Monday, Wednesday, Thursday practice routines.
Booster Club Update
Just wanted to send out a HUGE Thank you to everyone who supported our Fan Angel Fundraiser. This year we closed the campaign by raising $7,457.00 which is almost $1,400 more than we have ever raised before. These funds will be utilized for our end of year banquet as well as, our Senior and Parent Nights.

Reminders as the Season Starts
Lady Rangers are expected to ride the bus to the game and back to Vista Ridge with the team. Students will be dismissed from Vista Ridge and not from the playing sites. Occasionally situations arise and circumstances warrant players leaving with parents or parent designees. If this situation arises then parents should notify Coach Green 24 hours in advance and fill out the Parent Transportation form.
Please take a moment to click on the above link and review UIL Guidelines.
LISD, Vista Ridge, and Coach Green's Fan and Parent Expectations-
1) Please positively support all student athletes as they compete. At no time should negative comments be made toward student athletes.
2) It is perfectly fine and reasonable to disagree with an officials call or decision. It is even ok to express yourself with Groans and Nooooos. It is not ok and completely unacceptable to personalize or direct comments at a referee. At no point should Vista Ridge supporters address, speak to, confront, or call out an official no matter how egregious their decisions may be. Please help LISD, Vista Ridge, and Lady Ranger Soccer maintain and uphold these standards for fan behavior.
3) Lastly, One VOICE and Only One Voice during the games.
It is very important that fans and parents not give Coaching and Game Play instructions from the stands during games. I know how passionate our supporters can be as I too am passionate about this team and sport and want to see our Lady Rangers succeed. Lady Rangers are given specific instructions prior to the game and often prior to entering the field on what we as a team are trying to do tactically to win the game. When the coach gives instructions and Lady Rangers then get conflicting instructions from the stands this leads to stress, indecision, and poor performances.
